Tuberous breasts (constricted, tubular or snoopy breasts) are characterized by a narrow base on the chest, with a large diameter nipple-areola complex, much larger than normal. Commonly, the two breasts are also assymetric.
Correcting this congenital malformation is a challenge for any plastic surgeon.
The size of the breasts is usually small, which is why we also do augmentation with the silicone implants. The access (incision) is made around the nipple and the placement of the implants is most often done under the pectoralis major muscle. At the same time, we achieve a major reduction in the diameter of the areola as well as a flattening of the breast shape. Thus, we achieve an excellent and very natural result on the chest.
