Otoplasty corrects the shape and size of detached ears (ear deformities). It is one of the few cosmetic procedures that can be implemented for children aged 5 and over, as our ears have already completed 80% of their development by the age of 4.
The procedure usually is done on both ears. In the case of asymmetry, it can be done contralaterally (one ear).
In 90% of cases, the ears protrude outward and what we achieve with the procedure is to place the ears in the correct position. In 10% of cases, it is also necessary to remove part of the concha (part of the cartilage) of the ear.
Access is made from the back surface of the ear so that the postoperative scar is not visible in the future. At the end of the procedure, we place an elastic bandage, which is kept for 3 days.
For 2 weeks, patients wear an elastic band while sleeping.
Rhinoplasty corrects the shape and size of the nose. It can be combined with the correction of the nasal septum to improve breathing.
Unlike our ears, which have completed 80% of their development by the age of 5, the nose begins to develop at 13 to 14 years old. In girls, nose development is complete at 17 to 18 years, and in boys at 18 to 19 years. The procedure is best done after 18 years old in both sexes.
Rhinoplasty is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures. With minimally invasive techniques available, we can reduce or increase the size of the nose, correct its shape and narrow the nostrils with less pain and faster recovery."

An in-depth clinical assessment of the patient is required before the surgery, including a proper analysis of the individual elements of the nose and a discussion with the patient so that her/his expectations are understood. Every person is different and depending on the condition, we choose the right technique. Geometrically, the ideal angle between the upper lip and nose is 110 degrees for women and 90 to 100 for men.
There are two ways of access, open and closed rhinoplasty. The choice of the right technique is based on the doctor's preference and experience.
At the end of the procedure, we place steri strips on the back of the nose and a thin splint, which is removed after 7 days. Placing an inner gauze is not necessary.
Blepharoplasty is one of the most common cosmetic procedures for both sexes, in Greece and abroad. This surgery improves the form and shape of the eyelids. Improvements and corrections are made to both the upper and lower eyelids and focusing on bags and loosening of the eyelid skin.
At the age of 40-50, in both men and women, the skin of the eyelids begins to lose its vitality and elasticity, resulting in sagging and wrinkles on both eyelids. Following the drooping of the eyebrows, over time the eyes look more tired and sad giving our overall image a lack of vitality, health, and radiance.
What we achieve with blepharoplasty is to give our eyes a more lively, youthful, and radiant appearance.
Combined with eyebrow lifting, either with botox or surgically, the results are impressive.
Blepharoplasty requires local anesthesia and the insertion of the local anesthetic into the skin of the eyelids.
For the upper eyelid, the excess skin as well as some muscle and fat is removed and the wound is closed with a continuous suture that is removed in 4-5 days.
For the lower eyelid, the incision is made 1-2 mm below the free edge of the eyelid and then the necessary amount of fat and skin is removed. Sometimes we do not remove the fat but redistribute it under the sphincter muscle of the eyelid. As for the upper eyelid, the suture is removed in 4-5 days.
The patient does not need to be hospitalized and goes home the same day. He/she can start his/her social activities in 1 week. Wearing make-up and contact lenses is not allowed for about 1 week after the surgery.
The scars are invisible but for about 10 days some small swelling or bruising can be visible which is easily hidden by wearing foundation or a pair of sunglasses.
Over time and due to gravity, the face skin is pulled downward. If we include menopause in women and weight fluctuations in both sexes in the above factors, then we are all candidates for a face-neck lift.
The areas sagging the most are the cheeks, eyebrows, nasolabial folds, and neck. Flaccidity is not only about the skin but also the tissues and ligaments that are under the skin. At the same time, our face becomes leaner due to the reduction of fatty tissue.
The facelift is a top aesthetic plastic surgery that aims to restore the face and neck to their former state, without altering our features. Most of the time, the facelift is combined with a neck lift.
